Lead Instructor and Founder of TTS Technical
Training Solution's lead
instructor and founder is David Gerrer. Dave has been in the
fire service for over twenty years and during this time has
attended courses that have allowed him to teach in the fire
service as a fire service instructor.
His first course was in 1986 when he became an Emergency Medical Technician Instructor. Then in 1989 Dave attended an instructor's course from Fire Service Training in the areas of basic fire training. In 1990, he obtained state endorsement to teach Hazardous Materials Training to the operation level to fire service personnel. Dave expanded his instructing ability in 1993 to train new instructors to teach these courses. In 1995 he attended a Confined Space Rescue Course and in 1996 advanced himself to a Confined Space Instructor. Also in '96 he advanced his Fire Service Instructor to meet requirements set by NFPA 1041,1991 and is certified by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress as a Fire Service Instructor 1. In 1998 Dave attended a Confined Space Train-The-Trainer Program developed by The International Association of Fire Fighters allowing him to instruct confined space operations for the International Association of Firefighters. During this time he attended hundreds of hours in rope and high angle rescue. Also in '98, he advanced his abilities to instruct hazardous materials courses. Currently Dave provides Confined Space Rescue and High Angle Rescue training for Ft. Lewis Fire and Emergency Services, where he is part of their Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Team. With all this training and experience in the technical rescue field he branched out and started Technical Training Solutions LLC formerly known as Technical Training Institute. Dave continues to attend training to advance his skills and knowledge, just recently becoming IFSAC certified to the Instructor 3 level in 2000. The main goal of Technical Training Solutions, is to supply outstanding training for a reasonable price. Even though there is no certification or accreditation processes for these courses, TTS has taken every step it can to insure that all courses offered meets or exceeds all state and federal regulations. Technical
Training Solutions also presents courses at the HAMMER Training
and Education Center located in Richland Washington, a nationally
recognized training facility. HAMMER has become one Dave's
favorite sites for training due to the fullscale props and
well layed out classroom facilities.
